We are deeply grateful for every prayer, message, and act of support Margaret (fondly known by some as London) has received. She is living with severe, rapidly progressing instability throughout her entire cervical spine—diagnosed craniocervical instability (CCI) along with upper-, mid-, and lower-cervical instability—placing her life, critical neurological functions, and body at risk.
Margaret is experiencing episodes of paralysis and loss of consciousness, brainstem compression, interrupted breathing, difficulty swallowing, choking, compression of her windpipe and vocal cords, severe pain, and continued loss of strength, sensation, and mobility.
Her doctors are clear that time is of the essence: without the following multi-part intervention, her outcomes are permanent paralysis, vegetative state, or death.
We are asking for your support to avoid these outcomes and to save Margaret’s life for a better future.
There is real reason for hope.
There is a clinic in Colorado that is the only clinic in the world offering the specialized procedure Margaret needs. The clinic has shared stories of patients who regained meaningful neurological function, mobility, and independence after this procedure—returning to work, athletics, travel, and activities they love. Every outcome is different, but these highly successful recoveries give us genuine hope that Margaret can regain stability and return to a fuller life.
Her treatment is expected to require multiple rounds (an estimated six) and these costs are not covered or reimbursable by insurance.
Our immediate goal is to fund Round 1 as quickly as possible, an estimated total of $183,250.
