Cory and I are committing to 145 miles in June between the two of us to hit our $1,000 goal to help fund a scholarship for Freedom Summit Adventures.
I (Nicole) learned about this ministry when I was in Bible Study last year with Brittany Jacobson. It spoke to my soul as I found the Lord in the middle of the beautiful Estes Park when I was a young adult. I remember walking to a point where I was far enough away from people but close enough to not feel like I would get eaten by a bear 😂 to open my Bible. It was there where my faith was ignited and I was saved from my past life.
About 6 years after that, I developed a passion for running during a very stressful and lonely time of my life as we battled infertility issues for over a year and a half. I had a couple of friends mention running to me as an outlet and eventually it stuck! The feeling of accomplishing something HARD and a distance I truly doubted I would be able to do has created a mental toughness in me, and strengthened my trust in the Lord Almighty!
This is super hard for an over communicator like me to write in a short paragraph 🙂so I'll share more about my "why" as I post on social media, but their mission is close to my heart because it is very similar to my why of running and how Jesus transformed my life in the outdoors!
It costs between $900 and $1,000 to send one human trafficking survivor on one of their weekend getaways, and they are about 20 scholarships short of our goal, so we are setting our mileage high to help raise the funds! Follow us along on our journey and partner with Freedom Summit Adventures. Any amount you are able to give is exceptional.
Thank you!
