THE PROJECT
New Hope Opportunities School is a lifeline for students in one of the most dangerous areas of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, where gang violence, poverty, and instability threaten their futures. The school provides education as a path to a better future, but unreliable electricity threatens its ability to fulfill this mission. Frequent power outages and unstable utility costs disrupt learning and make it difficult to access essential resources.
A stable power solution will directly benefit 300 students, teachers, and scholarship recipients each week. With consistent electricity, students can study, conduct research, and complete assignments.
Investing in a sustainable power source will strengthen the school's ability to prepare students for the workforce, helping to break cycles of poverty and empower the entire community.
