TAKE A TRIP TO LENTS' ORIGINS AND BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY'S RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING THE GREEN RING TOUR EVENT AND FUNDRAISER, WHILE POWERING OUR NEIGHBORHOOD INITIATIVES IN 2022 AND BEYOND!

What is it?

• A medium size family-friendly event featuring Lents' local storyteller, trivia, refreshments, gifts from our business friends and opportunity to shape the future of on of our programs - the community orchard.
• A tour on foot, bike, or by other means, of some or all of the 3-mile Green Ring route. Free map HERE.
• Fundraiser for Green Lents, to continue building neighborhood-wide resilience through local projects by, and centering our community
• Scavenger hunt with great prizes
• Immersion into your neighborhood’s interconnectivity of shared spaces and resources
• Building lasting relationships near home

When is it?

FOR GUIDED TOURS:  

• Mark your calendar for the the Green Ring Tour Kick-Off event on Saturday, July 25th and join us for a morning of exploration and fun!

FOR SELF-GUIDED TOURS: 

• For self-guided tours: travel some or all of the Green Ring route anytime between June 25th and July 2nd
• You can also plan your tour to coincide with one or more of the following events in order to get even more involved with the community:

• Community Tool Library shift from 10 am - 1 pm on Saturday, June 25th
• Evening Community Tool Library shift from 6 pm - 8 pm on Wednesday, June 29th
• Community Tool Library shift from 10 am - 1 pm on Saturday, July 2nd

In addition to engaging more deeply with your local resources and networks, you can also help directly support Green Lents' mission to foster social and environmental resiliency through our fun fundraising opportunities!

How can I register? 

Option 1: "I Am Lents" 

• Make a donation of any amount (donate $25 or more and receive a free screen-printed Green Ring Tour t-shirt!)
• Explore some or all of the Green Ring route with us on 06/25 or on your own!

Option 2: "We Are Lents"

• Create your own personal fundraiser and share it with your friends and family. We encourage you to make your own donation as well! (**Look below for optional description template you can use when creating your fundraiser**)
• Choose your own Business Sponsor to cheer you on: they will match your donation up to a set amount and give you a special reward! 
• Bella's Bakery: first $30 of donation matched for 10 participants
• Refuge Coffee: first $30 of donation matched for 5 participants 
• Atlas Dental: first $30 of donation matched for 10 participants 
• El Cazador: first $35 of donation matched for 4 participants (**3 spots left!**)
• Blueprint Earth: first $25 of donation matched for 20 participants (**NEW - **19 spots left**)

FAQs

Q: How do I donate?

A: Just click the "Donate Now" button and fill out our donation form. If you choose the "We Are Lents" option, make sure to create your own fundraiser after you finish donating by clicking the "Start a Fundraiser." You can use the message template located at the bottom of this page in order to get your friends and family to donate to your fundraiser without having to come up with something to say!

Q: What time should I show up to travel the Green Ring?

A: Come to the Kick-off event or travel anytime between June 25th and July 2nd, it's up to you! You can plan with your neighbors and even do it together!

Q: Can I bring friends or family members even if they haven't registered?

A: Yes, of course! If they are able to donate, we do ask you to direct them to this site. Every little bit helps.

Q: If I sign up for "We Are Lents" and create my own personal fundraiser, do I still have to donate?

A: Nope! Just put "$0" when you fill out the donation form. However, if you donate $25 or more you get a t-shirt.

Q: How does Business Sponsor donation matching work?

A: Each Business Sponsor will match donations (up to a set amount) for a specified number of participants. This means your donation has an even bigger impact! Your personal fundraiser is also included in your Business Sponsor's donation matching. For example: If your business sponsor is willing to match your donation up to $50, you donate $20, and you raise $30 through your personal fundraiser, your business sponsor will match both your donation and the donations from your personal fundraiser... so your $20 donation will actually be worth $100!

Q: How do I get my Green Ring map and t-shirt?

A: When you fill out the donation form, you can either select to pick them up at our Tool Library or have them delivered to your address.

Q: Am I guaranteed to be partnered with the business I select as my sponsor?

A: Unfortunately, each business only has a certain number of participants they can sponsor. We will do our best to keep the number of slots available for each business up to date, but if you happen to select a business that can't sponsor any further participants, we will reassign you to another Business Sponsor and send you a notification.

Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?

A: Yes! Donately will send you a receipt of your donation after it is sent.
