A Hug They Can Hold: Help Us Deliver Comfort to Children Displaced by the LA Wildfires

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have left families devastated, with many children losing their homes and all sense of normalcy.  At the Haber Family Foundation, we believe that even the smallest gesture of kindness can make a big difference in a child’s life during difficult times. That’s why we’re launching “A Hug They Can Hold”, a campaign to bring comfort and joy to displaced children by providing them with Squishmallows—soft, cuddly friends they can hold onto when they need it most.

Our goal is to raise funds to purchase, ship, and deliver hundreds of Squishmallows to children in need. We are working closely with our on-the-ground distributor in Los Angeles who is actively supporting displaced families. Every dollar raised will go directly toward buying, shipping, and delivering these comforting plush toys.

During times of uncertainty, children need more than just shelter—they need emotional comfort. Squishmallows provide a sense of security and warmth. These plush toys have been shown to help children cope with anxiety, offering them a hug they can hold, even when life feels overwhelming.

• $100 comforts four children with plush toys to brighten their days.
• $500 ensures an entire community of children can receive a Squishmallow friend.
