Hanukkah is a time to bring light into the darkness, to shine brightly and proudly. Each one of our Jewish students at UNT and UTD brings their own light to our community, making our Hillel family brighter for everyone. This year it feels even more important than ever to shine our light as students have faced intimidation, harassment, and hateful rhetoric for expressing solidarity with the people of Israel or showing pride in their Jewish identity. 

Throughout the week we've celebrated the miracle of Hanukkah. Thanks to Hillel, students don't need a miracle to find a supportive community and a place they can proudly and safely express their Jewish identities. Because of Hillel and your generous support, the opportunities for Jewish students to learn, connect, and gather continue to grow even in these challenging times.
