I wanted to let you know I will be one of only 30 torchbearers in the Pink Torch Procession on June 1. I am truly so very honored to be apart of this project for many years as an ally. I will be carrying the Pink Torch as it makes its way from Oakland and into SF, leading up to the Grand Lighting of the Pink Triangle atop Twin Peaks. I will be escorted by Dykes on Bikes, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and SF Cheer.

This year, the Triangle is more important than ever as our civil rights are under attack.

We need to always remember that we must be resistant and always show visible community solidarity for those of us who are being labeled, made feel invisible so as to deny their basic civil rights. If I had a hammer as the song goes, I would stamp out those injustices. Thanks to Patrick Carney and his inspiring leadership, we do have that that hammer. Let's stamp out the injustices. Make the Peaks ring, and the Pink Triangle light shine to every corner of the world. We can do this!
