Hello!

I want to let you know I will be one of only 30 torchbearers in the Pink Torch Procession on June 1. I will be carrying the Pink Torch as it makes its way from Oakland and into SF, leading up to the Grand Lighting of the Pink Triangle atop Twin Peaks. I will be escorted by Dykes on Bikes, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and SF Cheer. This year, the Triangle is more important than ever as our civil rights are under attack.

For the past several years and this year, too, I have helped put up the Pink Triangle on San Francisco's Twin Peaks to celebrate Pride and help create visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Since 2020, the company Illuminate has worked with Pink Triangle founder Patrick Carney to light the triangle for all of June.

The entire Pink Triangle effort, which includes the Torch Procession, the canvas Triangle and the illuminated Triangle, is funded exclusively through private support. Right now, all gifts are being matched by one of Illuminate's Board members, up to $5,000. I am helping fundraise because this endeavor is really important to me.
