Justice Frontline Aid began in Minneapolis. MN in the wake of the murder of George Floyd
Founding members of our team went to march in solidarity from CUP foods all the way to the 3rd precinct In Minneapolis and were met with tear gas. After the first night of protest, they noticed a need for a stable medical presence in the area and worked to pool donations and resources to help the community. The crew found medical and mental health volunteers, bought canopy tents and gathered medical supplies and created a first aid station in the Lake Street Target parking lot, across from the precinct. What started out as a small group of friends looking to offer something of use to help their city, quickly turned into a passionate and dedicated team willing to work tirelessly to help in any way they could.
That same team has expanded their efforts to helping collect donations out of Modist Brewery and re-distribute them to communities in need. We can still be seen at protests throughout the Twin Cities offering mobile medical aid and water/food as well as PPE for protestors. We also work with helping marshal events to help ensure protestors safety.
Our goal is to be a continuous resource for protestors as they face opposition in their calls for socio-economic justice.
