Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. (LARI), an all volunteer agency, was established in 1998 to meet the urgent need for emergency medical services in communities around Lake Anna in Louisa County Virginia. Starting with one ambulance in an old horse barn, LARI quickly expanded thanks to community support, eventually moving into a dedicated facility with multiple ambulances and specialized rescue vehicles.
Today, LARI has over 50 active volunteer members and offers EMT and ambulance driving classes to recruit more volunteers. The organization also includes administrative support, fundraising activities, social events, and a junior rescue squad.
