#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity, taking place on May 5, 2020, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by Covid-19. A global pandemic such as this has effected every community around the world, our home of Lexington included.

The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center, like many other nonprofits and small businesses around the Bluegrass, is joining in on Giving Tuesday Now and asks that you consider donating to our organization today. This is the first time since reopening in 2010 that the Lyric has closed its doors to the public for an extended period of time. For a nonprofit organization who relies heavily on income through event rentals, exhibitions, concerts, concessions, and programming this has left the historic Lyric Theatre in a vulnerable state.

By becoming a one-time or recurring donor today you will be supporting an organization whose mission it is to preserve, promote, present and celebrate diverse cultures through artistic presentations of the highest quality, educational programming and outreach, film, and opportunities for community inclusion. The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center is dedicated to honoring its past while still maintaining a strong vision for our future, and by donating you will not only help fulfill our mission, but you will also be contributing to a landmark with historical significance, a cultural icon in the East End and Lexington community.
