Lutheran Services in America is a national nonprofit organization that brings together a network of leaders, partners and funders to tackle issues that are critical to our communities.
The Lutheran Services in America network reaches one in 50 people in America each year. With more than $26 billion in combined annual services, the Lutheran Services in America network advances better outcomes for children, youth and families, improves independence and choice for older adults, champions meaningful services and support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and strengthens stability and purpose for veterans and others.
In 1997, 300 Lutheran health and human services nonprofit organizations across 1,400 communities founded Lutheran Services in America, along with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).
