I’m excited to be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of New Life CDC, to represent Elmhurst and Corona, the neighborhoods that formed me and continue to hold my heart.
I grew up here as an immigrant kid, and who I am today is rooted in this community. Elmhurst and Corona taught me that community isn’t just about giving or receiving, it’s about showing up for one another with trust, joy, and a shared sense of struggle and strength.
This past year has not been easy. Our communities have been targeted and tested in so many ways. And yet, we've persisted. The spirit that lives in Elmhurst and Corona is powerful, unshakable, and full of hope. I am endlessly proud to come from a place that holds so much culture, diversity, and heart.
That’s why I believe in the programs New Life CDC offers, whether it’s providing hot meals, access to medical care, or creating pathways toward financial stability and holistic wellness. Our neighbors are met with compassion and dignity, recognized as people with knowledge and gifts, vital to the flourishing of our whole community.
Running 26.2 miles is my way of giving back to the community I love. Join me in my first marathon! I would be incredibly grateful for your support, every donation helps invest in the future of Elmhurst and Corona.
In Community,
Noemi Cordova
