The PIE team is devastated by the recent loss of Amina Ahmed our founder and Executive Director.

Amina responded to every person she met with compassion and generosity and especially to the clients she served, because she understood their struggle. PIE will keep her passion alive in the refugee and immigrant community and continue to build on the foundation she established: to create more equitable pathways for refugees and immigrants to obtain living-wage jobs.

 We have received inquiries from supporters asking where they can donate in her memory. Amina was passionate about helping refugee and immigrant families in crisis avoid homelessness, in particular those on their way to obtaining employment or sustaining it. This fund will help immigrant families pay overdue rent, cover utilities, and avoid homelessness or related hardship. PIE will cover all administrative expenses, so 100% of money donated here will directly address immigrant family needs.
