We're kicking off our End-of-Year Campaign and want YOU to join our quest to help fund Press Start's upcoming 2022 season! 

Back in June 2019, we started Press Start Orchestra with a passion for bringing the worlds of gamers and classical music lovers together through captivating classical and gaming scores. 

Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we've come. To date we've....

• Released 5 videos featuring music from Crash Bandicoot, Hollow Knight, Tetris, Undertale, and Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring
• Launched our first Composer Competition and received 15 stellar submissions
• Awarded our first grant from the New York City Artist Corps through New York Foundation for the Arts
• Performed our first hybrid event, Knight Shade, to a sold-out crowd at The Triad Theater and broadcast worldwide via Twitch 
• Employed 20 local musicians in New York City
• Became an established 501(c)3 nonprofit organization

Press Start is a New York City-based video game music orchestra, producing and streaming concerts in the city and worldwide. Wielding an instrument in one hand and a game controller in the other, Press Start performs music from popular video games alongside symphonic classics. We defy expectations and are leading the charge in bringing gamers and symphony-goers together. Our core values are supporting local musicians through equitable hiring, revamping the classical music canon with energy and originality, and playing video game music that captures the hearts of players from their first playthrough.
