Campaign Description

Ralph W Turner Foundation is an organization that assist in funding minority students to achieve excellence in study and research in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Neuroscience, and Mathematics (STEM) at Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Specifically, Ralph W Turner Foundation provides scholarships and research stipends to students and/or their HBCU school of choice to study and research STEM. Scholarships are selected and awarded to students via our application process, programs, and STEM competitions.  “African-American and Latino workers also now represent 29 percent of the general workforce population (up from about 24 percent in 2001)...But just 16 percent of the advanced manufacturing workforce, 15 percent of the computing workforce, and 12 percent of the engineering workforce.” (US News, 2015) “Minority women participation in STEM at the collegiate level: Engineering, 3.1%; Physical Sciences, 6.5%, Mathematics, 5.4%, Computer Science, 4.8%.” (Via the National Girls Collaborative Project) Help us be a solution by giving today!!!
