#WhereIsReadingAllowedReadingNow
The Summer Read-A-Thon is a fun community event that celebrates the joy of reading while empowering students to participate in fundraising for Reading Allowed!
All donations support Reading Allowed's mission, to make quality structured literacy tutoring financially accessible to children and adults in the Philadelphia area who struggle to read, write or spell. All contributions, regardless of size, bring Reading Allowed closer to reaching its goal, of being able to say yes to every student and family seeking support.
How it Works
Students commit to at least 15 minutes of reading a day and obtain sponsors for their involvement. Families can set reading goals with their students and mark their Summer Reading Calendar each day they read.
Students can create their own personalized fundraising page to share with friends and family and collect donations online by clicking the "Create A Fundraiser" button below. This page also allows students to track their fundraising progress and view their sponsors.
We encourage families to post pictures of their students participating in the Read-A-Thon, either on Reading Allowed's Padlet page, Facebook, and/or Instagram! Let us know where and what your student is reading! Make sure to tag all of your social media posts with #WhereIsReadingAllowedReadingNow and we will select our favorites each week to share with the Reading Allowed community!
