Fuel the Mission. Drive the Welcome.
Our founder's husband, Bill "Chief" Murray, passed away in 2023 after a lifetime battle with the long-term effects of cancer treatment he had in his 20's.
Chief had a rare gift: he looked past race, religion, and ethnicity to see people for exactly who they are. This truck carries his name and his spirit—a daily reminder to do the same.
The need for that reminder is real. Eighty-five percent of immigrants in the U.S. have never been inside an American home. That statistic represents more than distance—it represents isolation, invisibility, and missed connection.
When our first two trucks died after years of service, we made do with our catering carts. But we've always missed what a big red truck can do.
Wherever we are in Clarkston, in Midtown, in Norcross, or rolling up with our truck at a school, a corporate campus, or a neighborhood event, something shifts. The beauty of welcome takes over. That welcome thrives in the agendaless spaces we've created with our refugee community.
Which means, as Chief said, everybody matters.
The truck represents a first job for a newly-arrived neighbor, a first conversation between strangers. It is a visible, rolling proof that refugees contribute to the life of this city.
Connection creates opportunity.
Opportunity creates stability.
Chief knew that. This truck proves it.
The legacy our founder's husband left us—one of welcoming all and loving our neighbors— rolls on with this new truck!
