After losing my beloved Wilma I made the decision to home a rescue dog. I came across Save A Kill Shelter Dog on Facebook and after reading the posts and seeing all the hard work rescuing and rehabilitating dogs starved and abused in Romanian Kill shelters I knew I had to adopt a dog from these hard working, committed, compassionate people. I applied and was given the amazing opportunity to adopt Gus. Gus and I have been together for 2 weeks now. It's been an unbelievably heartwarming experience to see this once starving and unwanted dog blossoming into a dog that is now loved and very much wanted, and all thanks to the Save A Kill Shelter team that rescued him a day before he was due to die. They gave him the veterinary care he needed and took the time and care to slowly and gently rehabilitate him.
Saving, caring for and rehabilitating these dogs requires a lot of money .. and I'd like to do my bit to help save more dogs like Gus so, please help me if you can by donating to my fundraiser, even the smallest amount will help.
