St Mary's Church, Beograd, Srbija

St Mary’s was established in Belgrade in 1963. Since then, it has been serving the needs of not only British residents in the city, but also visitors from a wide range of other countries who either practice or are attracted to the Anglican form of worship. In addition, a substantial number of native Serbians are regular members of the congregation. It is the only church of its kind still operating in the Balkans, where it has formed a close and fruitful relationship with the Orthodox Church of Serbia.
We work to support a displaced persons camp in Grocka, near Belgrade.

We have also worked closely with the Belgrade Homeless Centre, the Materinski Dom for young single mothers, the Belgrade Prison Chaplaincy as well as Philanthropy, the humanitarian charity for the Serbian Orthodox Church.

During the last decade, however, our situation, financially, has been in decline. St Mary’s is now facing closure due to lack of funding.

Please help us to keep our doors open and to continue to serve our community and those in need around us.
