We’re two cousins challenging ourselves for a cause bigger than the finish line. As Swilly’s Most Wanted, we’re taking on the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon to raise $4,000 for Team Bright Side and pediatric blood cancer research.

Our name is a little bit Alcatraz and a lot of family. Lough Swilly lies along the rugged coast of County Donegal, Ireland, where generations of our family have called home. We grew up swimming in the Swilly and running and cycling through the surrounding countryside. It’s a place that holds a special place in our hearts — so when we decided to swim, bike, and run our way out of Alcatraz, there was really only one name for the team.

On June 6, 2027, we’ll jump into San Francisco Bay and start our escape. Neither of us has ever completed a triathlon, so Alcatraz will be quite the first! We hope to turn this personal challenge into an opportunity to make a difference for children affected by blood cancers by supporting the research working to improve their treatment. Every little bit helps!
