The Arc of Delaware promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, actively supporting their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
We're a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to Delawareans with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We encompass all ages and more than 100 different diagnoses, including autism, Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome and other developmental disabilities.
While we champion the human rights of an estimated 27,000 individuals with IDD in Delaware, we also ensure they have the supports and services they need to be fully engaged in their communities. For example, we help people with IDD find and keep good jobs, provide safe and affordable neighborhood homes, and host monthly dances to encourage social interaction.
