Dear Potential Donor,

I hope this letter finds you in good spirit and health. My name is Dr. Robert Harper, and I am the founder of the HOPE Initiative which is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that provides a unique system of support and partnerships to carry out its mission in providing equal access to educational opportunities for underserved students and building community trust by enhancing community-police relations. We are partnering with Officer Tracy Carter and the Ft. Worth Police Department to bring joy to less fortunate kids through the “Shop with a Cop” Holiday Event. 

Please note that this event is designed to unite officers with local disadvantaged kids for a special day of shopping. With that said, our goal this year is to sponsor 500 youth through the support of donations from our citizens and businesses. Our desire is to give each kid a $100 gift card and pair them with an officer for a shopping spree. 

 As a society, we must do all we can to support the less fortunate, especially kids. Over the years, this has been a worthwhile program and we have seen the benefit from relationships developed with the children and their families. The goal is to not only financially help these children, but to let them know they have someone to turn to when faced with a potential crisis. 

The  HOPE Initiative strongly believes that we will make a difference in the lives of our children and families in our city and the surrounding communities. We are grateful for your consideration and support as we strive to help the community. All contributions directly benefit the “Shop with a Cop” event and are 100% tax deductible.
