Thrive DC strives to be a one-stop shop in Washington, DC providing vulnerable individuals with comprehensive services to help stabilize their lives. Help make sure everyone has access to a helping hand when they're in crisis.
Mr. M had been a client at Thrive DC for about 5 years. He lived in a shelter in Southeast DC and came into Thrive DC every day to eat and socialize.
With a history of drinking, he had lost touch with close family members and eventually relapsed. He also wasn't able to walk and ended up in a physical recovery facility. He was struggling to find security and stability in his life.
But he never gave up, and neither did we. We're happy to say last year he secured permanent housing!
While our clients hit barriers and obstacles every day, they also achieve huge victories -- and at Thrive DC, we celebrate each and every success.
