The Fundtabulous Fellowship offered by Vivid Academy, Inc. seeks to invest in the unlimited potential of college students, women, and people of color to close the wealth gap for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Our goal is to identify gifted students and founders, give them a fellowship grant, provide them with transformative training & mentorship, and multiply the money they put into their projects by a factor of ten or more. We are looking for innovators who are willing to take responsibility for their financial futures and prosperity by committing fully to their personal and professional development. The ideal candidates are talented, motivated, and looking for support through a network of peers, coaches, mentors, trainers, partners, funders, and other entrepreneurs. 

SCOPE

This 9-month program provides development and experiential learning for emerging business leaders seeking hands-on economic development experience. Fellows will be trained on five tracks: strategic planning, creative, sales & marketing, technology, or organizational development working with teams from our branding agency partner, Adam Red, and other corporate and strategic partners.

The Fundtabulous Fellowship allows for individually designed projects to teach entrepreneurial skills and cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit. Fellows will work with mentors, coaches, and advisors to design their own projects with the intention of generating revenue and learning how to effectively leverage available personal, government, and private resources.

DETAILS

The Fundtabulous Fellowship is available in the United States for students seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees in creative fields, existing entrepreneurs, and young marketing, management, and publishing professionals including artists, musicians, writers, journalists, and those in law, business, and other professional fields.  

ELIGIBILITY

Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older with relevant work, academic, or business experience. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Participate in a hands-on/experiential learning project to develop a business idea  
• Be matched with a coach who will provide ongoing guidance and feedback
• Complete online learning courses to master business concepts
• Be part of a cohort of other Fellows and Vivid Academy Community
• Participate in a final Pitch Competition to present their learnings, business idea, and results 

COMPENSATION

Fellows will be able to build on their actions with the tools they need to turn their ideas into realities. 

• Equipment grant of up to $2500
• Option for a monthly stipend of up to $250 as long as the Fellow is meeting established program milestones and guidelines
• Opportunity for seed funding of up to $25,000 upon completion
• When applicable, fellows will also receive a travel allowance of up to $2500.
• Crowdfunding – Fellows will develop crowdfunding campaigns to garner support and test the viability of their ideas. Those who complete their funding goals will have the opportunity to receive matching seed funding.

Entrepreneurs have so many choices to make and roles to play. In order to be successful, they need training, tools, resources, ongoing coaching and feedback, and money. But as small business owners ourselves, we know that getting an infusion of cash only helps to the degree that you know how to use it. Each Fundtabulous Fellow will be supported by a team of trainers, coaches, and mentors. Their Fellowship Team will be there to guide them through the learning and building process. We said it earlier, but it bears repeating–our goal will be to multiply the money they put into their projects by a factor of ten or more.

As a Funder, you will become the lifeblood of the Fundtabulous Fellowship, enabling us to not only teach business principles, but to be there throughout the process to increase the likelihood of success for our Fellows.
