The University of the Witwatersrand is on the frontline and leading the charge against COVID-19 through it's disciplines in epidemiology, medicine, public health, biomedical engineering, governance and data scientists. The University is in critical need of funds for these and other responses to the pandemic:

• the provision of face shields
• customizing a novel breathing aid for hospitals
• designing a mask that can be used by patients using the novel breathing aid

The campaign target of $10,000 will have a tremendous impact in the frontlines of the pandemic, and will alleviate human suffering and difficulties arising from COVID-19.
