10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania is the leading statewide nonpartisan voice for creating healthy, vibrant and resilient communities across the Commonwealth. 10,000 Friends collaborates with state and local government, community benefit organizations, and the private sector to effect change through policy and community development solutions for neighborhoods that enhance health, foster innovation, create opportunity and transform communities. 

Through our Healthy Communities Initiative, 10,000 Friends partners with local organizations in a neighborhood to eliminate blight, improve walkability, and create opportunity with youth programs, community gardens, open space and parks, small business microloans, and affordable homeownership and home repairs.
