Additionally your donation supports intersectional collaborations across industry sectors and communities that amplify the experiences and needs of postpartum bodies.

The most recent CDC report on Maternal Mortality states that 65.3% of all pregnancy related deaths happened during postpartum days #1-365. And it names the leading cause of all pregnancy related deaths (22.7%) was mental health related. Our work seeks to first address the urgent needs that our current systems are failing and to create community related solutions. 

Our Nourish and Nurture Programs are a part of how how we're shifting postpartum culture.

The postpartum transition can be busy enough to where new parents find it challenging to prepare meals for themselves and their families in this tender healing and resting period. Our Nourish program coordinates 6 weeks of postpartum meal deliveries in partnership with local Black Centering midwifery prenatal programs in the Bay Area. Our partnerships center BIPOC restaurants serving cultural foods that are warming, nourishing, and strengthening for the postpartum body. 

Each parent is also provided a Nurture Postpartum Bag stocked with commonly overlooked essential supplies for the first weeks postpartum. Access to these items allows new moms and birthing people the opportunity to rest in the vital time after delivery with everything they need to ease them into this transition within arms reach.
